In the latest video clip accompanying the release of Library of America’s new two-volume set Madeleine L’Engle: The Kairos Novels, children’s book historian Leonard S. Marcus, who edited both volumes for Library of America, reminisces about the first time he met L’Engle back in 2002.
This Sunday, November 18, Marcus will join Library of America Associate Editor Stefanie Peters and authors Tracy Baptiste, Lena Roy, and Charlotte Jones Voiklis (the latter two of whom are also L’Engle’s granddaughters) at the downtown location of the New York City children’s bookstore Books of Wonder for a celebration of Madeleine L’Engle’s centenary. (The author was born on November 29, 1918.)
