Back Madeleine L’Engle on A Wrinkle in Time: “It’s for people”

Madeleine L’Engle was born one hundred years ago today, on November 29, 1918.

In honor of L’Engle’s centennial, we present the latest video clip accompanying the release of Library of America’s two-volume set Madeleine L’Engle: The Kairos Novels. Here Charlotte Jones Voiklis, L’Engle’s granddaughter, describes the creative genesis of L’Engle’s classic novel A Wrinkle in Time and the initial difficulties it had in attracting a publisher.
