This paperback edition of Hamilton’s public writings and private letters, including the correspondence between Burr and Hamilton that led to their duel, has been edited by Yale University Professor of History Joanne B. Freeman and developed with students and teachers in mind. We hope the book will provide an opportunity for teachers around the country to sustain and build on the interest in Hamilton and America’s Founders generated by the hit musical.To receive a copy of The Essential Hamilton:
